A day of sustainable living. By Marc Peridis

In celebration of World Earth Day 2016, our founder Marc Peridis was invited to take-over the Instagram account of Conde Nast publication House & Garden.  He has created a series of 10 tips to the perfect sustainable day.

1/10: Start the first day of your sustainable lifestyle by waking up on an#AbacaOrganic (abacaorganic.co.uk) mattress. Grab your @wearefairphone (the first ethical smartphone) and switch on your Vegetable Light by @Petermarigold

2/10: Rise and shine! Open your bespoke#EquipoDRT curtains made from recycled polyester, a bright day ahead! Wall colours by eco-brand @vanessakonigcolours.

3/10: Meditate on an inspirational quote while drinking your morning coffee at@terminisoho - the best cafe in town. They only serve @illy_coffee, which provides high returns to local farmers.
The cup pictured is Julian Lechner's@kaffeeform made from recycled coffee grounds.

4/10: Oh it's still Friday...
Then have a seat in your chaise made of sustainable FSC certified wood by#AndersHammartstrand and fire-up your@lenovo laptop to get a bit of work done!
The laptop is TCO Certified, the international sustainability certification for IT products.

5/10: Slip on your blue wild rubber trainers by @lilycole and Veja for @impossible and head out for a stroll. Wild rubber is tapped by communities in the Amazon and moulded around Brazilian organic cotton.
The use of this rubber supports locals in protecting the rainforest.

6/10: On your way for an afternoon nap before tea time perhaps? Enjoy the feel underfoot of an @emilyshouselondon'Boucherouite' rug, made in the Atlas mountains of Morocco by tribeswomen reusing old t-shirts…

7/10: Enjoy another meditative moment with a deliciously aromatic afternoon tea by@jingtea
The brand is an active member of the Ethical Tea Partnership and works to support socially just and environmentally sustainable tea production.
Oh, and their brightly coloured natural ingredients and finely-crafted golden accessories will coordinate perfectly with your walls which have been sustainably painted by @vanessakonigcolours

8: "Eat vegetarian at least one day per week and you'll make a huge difference to the planet" they say. We say: "Invite your friends over for that dinner and do even better!" The @ottolenghi pantry will give you an inspiring and eclectic headstart.
Also, choose a chandelier made of old plant pots by @nirmeiri and vessels inspired by a hug which ended the Chilean dictatorship by @gt2p

9/10: After your veg dinner, lounge and unwind on your restored mid-century furniture and reflect on the planet-friendly day you've had.The pieces pictured were reupholstered by@jay_n_co, using sustainable fabrics by#Camirafabrics.

10/10: Day is now done! Just remember to turn off the tap while brushing your teeth. Every little bit counts!
We also recommend attaching "thank you" ribbons by @mercishopparis to your tap, reminding you to be grateful for the little things like abundantly available running water, or living in central London!
Then, head to bed knowing you have done your share to support sustainable development.
